She is responsible for all aspects of client development, service delivery, and business strategy. Since founding the company in 2004, she has championed YMG’s commitment to an impeccable record of client results for several companies including, BMI, CAT Financial, Hunt Brothers Pizza, Loews Hotel, MARS, Belmont University and Tractor Supply Company.
Prior to forming YMG in 2004, Ms. Young served as COO of Bethlehem Centers of Nashville, a multi-million dollar social service agency, Career Development Manager for INROADS/Nashville, Inc., the nation’s leading corporate diversity pipeline, and Market Assessment Officer, in
Community Investment for Bank of America, the nation’s largest bank.
Her community commitment is reflected in her role as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Northwest Family YMCA Board, Volunteer of the Year, new member of the Fifty Forward Board of Directors, and member of the Report Card Committee of the Nashville Area Chamber.
Ms. Young is also a former member of the Mayor’s Advisory/Task Force for Special Education, immediate past board member for the Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee, and current member of the development committee, immediate past board chair for Fashioned
in His Image Total Women’s Center, Inc., and current board member.
Ms. Young’s company YMG, was an integral part of the operations team established to produce the Mayor’s First Day Festival for 6 years. She is particularly proud of that involvement because of the unity created for the business and education communities in serving school aged children, by providing backpacks and school supplies, and especially for the smiles of the children and families.
A native of Nashville, TN, Ms. Young is a graduate of St. Cecilia Academy. She earned a Master’s degree in Education in Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University and a BA degree in English with a minor in Management and Organization from Spelman College. She and her husband, Derek Young are the proud parents of four children, Kayla, Kelton, Kendall and Kristianna.
